How to treat Dandruff?

If you are noticing flakes you might simply have dry scalp, in which case the flakes are very fine and can be treated by using a rich conditioner after you shampoo. Or it could be Seborrheic Dermatitis which is commonly referred to as dandruff which causes thicker flakes and sometimes an irritated and inflated scalp. Try a shampoo with salicylic acid, selenium sulfide (Selsun Blue Medicated Treatment) or one with pyrithione zinc, an antifungal (Head and Shoulders Sensitive Care).
