Lately, I keep coming back to the word design. My lifestyle doesn’t call for a lot of dressy outfits — but I still want them to feel designed with care, with a point of view, with intention. Similar to the way a room or home might be designed.
So for this fit, the parachute pants and flip flops set the low-key tone. Then top brings in an interesting neckline and a sculptural element. And then the paracord bag? It’s cool, a little edgy, but still utilitarian and unfancy.
No statement jewelry. No heels. Nothing overly-styled.
And I freaking love it.
It’s the kind of outfit I’d wear to a little launch party or dinner with friends. It feels a little more memorable than jeans-and-a-tee, while still holding onto that grounded, everyday ease I never want to lose.
What’s one outfit in your rotation that feels unfussy, but still shows intention?
