New York’s grand dame makes a fittingly grand return. After a multi-year renovation by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and interior design from Pierre-Yves Rochon, the Waldorf Astoria will re-open in the spring of 2025. Iconic rooms like the Grand Ballroom and Jade Room have been restored to their original grandeur, while there are new additions like a 30,000-square-foot spa.
The Six Bells, Hudson Valley (June 2025)
Audrey Gelman, founder of The Wing and home goods store Six Bells, is venturing into hospitality this summer with the opening of The Six Bells Country Inn in Rosendale, New York. The 11-room property, which the website describes as “a story book you can sleep in,” is inspired by the nostalgic aesthetics of the English and American countrysides.
